Our KG learners enthusiastically participated in an engaging phonics session based on the “-at” word family. Through interactive songs, cup stacking word activities, flashcards, picture matching, and exciting word-building games, students explored how changing the beginning sound creates new words such as cat, bat, hat, mat, rat, sat, and pat. The hands-on activities made the learning process enjoyable, attractive, and easy to remember. Students actively participated with great excitement and confidence while reading, spelling, and identifying the “-at” family words. The Standing and Sleeping Lines activity was conducted for the learners of Pre-Nursery A to build their early pre-writing skills in a fun and engaging way. The educator guided the children on how to draw lines on a sheet using a pen, demonstrating both standing (vertical) and sleeping (horizontal) lines. The learners observed carefully and then practiced drawing the lines, showing great enthusiasm and participation throughout the activity. The session was interactive, where children explored line formation through simple hands-on practice. They were encouraged to hold the pencil correctly and follow the direction of the lines from top to bottom and left to right. The activity also included collaborative elements, allowing learners to engage with their peers, which made the learning experience more enjoyable. Through this activity, learners developed foundational pre-writing skills by improving their fine motor control, hand-eye coordination, and pencil grip. They were able to understand the concept of standing and sleeping lines and apply it practically. We were delighted to celebrate “No Bag Day” at school, a special initiative designed to offer our young learners a joyful and engaging experience beyond their regular classroom routine. The day created a stress-free environment where learning became fun, interactive, and meaningful without the burden of school bags. A variety of exciting activities were thoughtfully planned for the students, where in the first half of the day, all classes participated in fun-filled activities as per their class-wise planning, while our Nursery learners enjoyed a refreshing and cheerful Pool Party. In the second half, students of all classes came together to witness an entertaining Magic Show that filled the atmosphere with laughter and amazement. Children also brought party food and happily shared it with their classmates, making the day even more delightful. “No Bag Day” turned out to be a joyful and enriching experience that promoted learning beyond textbooks. It helped reduce the stress associated with carrying heavy school bags while encouraging organization and prioritization skills. The activities nurtured creativity, enhanced problem-solving abilities, and fostered a sense of freedom and playfulness. Most importantly, it provided children with valuable opportunities to bond with their peers and educators, creating happy memories to cherish. #NoBagDay #JoyfulLearning #LearningBeyondBooks #HappyClassrooms #SchoolActivities

They also participated in a creative craft activity using various materials, allowing them to explore the colour red in a fun and hands-on way. Through this activity, students developed a better understanding and recognition of colours, especially red, as an important part of their cognitive development.
